Daly & Company, Inc.

Daly & Company Inc. was founded in Boston in 1972. For 30 years, our product focus was conducting senior-level searches on a retainer basis for venture capital financed technology startups. The searches were conducted on a national basis and positions filled were CEO, CFO, VP of Sales and Marketing. These involved board positions. In many cases, Daly & Company was a personal investor in these firms. With the arrival of Sarbanes-Oxley in 2002 the firm shifted its emphasis to Boards of Directors.

Daly & Company Today

  • Directors searches for private and small-cap companies.
  • Board assessment and evaluation
  • Board Education

Our Search Practice focuses on recruiting individuals for board positions in private rapid growth companies and small-cap public firms. We also have a specific emphasis on recruiting experienced female and minority directors. Our search practice utilizes not only our established candidate database but also applies our knowledge based on over 35 years of experience of how these companies are structured from a corporate governance standpoint.

Reflecting on our own board service and that of our associates, we soon saw a need for and therefore established a board assessment and evaluation product. Conducted properly this process can be not only informative but have a positive impact on board growth. To shareholders and stakeholders it represents the company’s commitment to good corporate governance.

In addition, through our involvement and ownership in The Directors Letter, The Directors Spotlight and Board Leaders we have established a significant presence and have made a substantial commitment to board education. Each of these products reflects significant input from board members and professionals involved in board level activities.

With the emphasis today on stronger, more diversified and better educated boards, we feel these products: recruiting, evaluation and education at the board level represent an ideal and complementary product mix for our clients.
