Dan Daly, CEO and Founder

Dan has more than 40 years of experience conducting nationwide searches for senior executives on a retainer basis along with providing consulting and educational services to boards of directors. Daly & Company Inc. has several operating subsidiaries: The Directors Letters, The Executive Insight Video Series and Daniel Roberts Inc. It is also a founding partner of  Board Leaders, a membership organization providing educational services to the members of corporate boards.

Dan is a successful entrepreneur and a knowledgeable professional in the areas of board-level recruiting, executive education and consulting. In the past 10 years, his experience and skills have been applied to assisting boards in their response to the increasing corporate governance demands based on the 2002 Sarbanes-Oxley legislation.

He is a graduate of Harvard College with a degree in economics. Upon graduation, he spent three years in the Navy including a combat tour in Vietnam, commanding a US Navy Swift Boat. He began his business career in the personnel placement of returning veterans.

He is on the Board of the New England Center for Homeless Veterans and was board chair for 10 years. He also served as Vice Chair of the Board for Mount Ida College and was a Trustee of St. Sebastian’s School. Dan is one of two founders of the Presidents Heritage Foundation which provided the resources to bring Boston inner-city school children to the two Massachusetts Presidential sites. In the public sector, he was Governor Bill Weld’s first Director of Economic Development and was a Board Member of the Massachusetts Technology Development Corporation and Founding Co-chair of the Massachusetts Workforce Training Fund.
